Endurance X29 Gearbox Refurb

Spectrum currently service and maintain the Abergwaun community wind turbine (X29) at Trebover Farm. The turbine is located near Fishguard in Pembrokeshire. Following one of our service inspections, it was found that some of the gearbox teeth were fractured, and were disintegrating inside the gearbox. After some intense research and due diligence, it was decided that we would remove the gearbox and refurbish it, at one of our specialist partners’ facility.

This process took 12 weeks from start to finish, and the turbine is now fully operational.
